It's always easier said than done, but to put into practice the saying...If you don't try you will never know and we did exactly that. We have been wanting to do more commercial based shoots along side our wedding films and especially a car style commercial, but with our own flare to it. We went straight to work researching commercials and unique vehicles and came across a Utah based brand called Vanderhall Motor Works. After getting lost watching YouTube videos on everything about the Vanderhall brand we knew this would be a great vehicle for our film.
We began by creating a concept idea with the Vanderhall vehicle in mind along with style boards and reference videos to pitch (View boards here). After doing that we decided to reach out to Vanderhall through social media and see if they would like to collaborate on a project. Thinking after we sent the message that it would just be passed on or ignored, but they replied within a few hours and told us to connect with their Florida based dealer and they would get the ball rolling. We were excited, but still knew we had some work to do such as finding locations, talent as well as help on set for both production days. Once we got the car lined up and a rough schedule of when we would like to film we knew one of our locations had to be Sydonie Mansion (Pictured above) it just matched the Vanderhall's vintage style perfectly. For our garage location we got in contact with Standard Motorcycle Co. We wanted a feel that the male talent was this wealthy gentlemen that had a garage full of available vehicles, but the Vanderhall made his decision easy in choosing what to go with. Then off he went racing the clock to pick up his date. Be sure to watch the film and behind the scenes below! We also want to thank everyone who helped and donated their time and talents to this project. Everyone was so excited to be apart of this project and trusted in our idea and vision and wanted to create something really awesome. To the team that made all this happen below THANK YOU!
