Last Friday, I received a very touching email from a groom's sister with a special request. She was inquiring about my availability for the very next day. As I kept reading, I came to find out that she was planning a very special surprise for her future sister-in-law. She further explained to me that she was planning a father/daughter dance prior to their wedding next year. Unfortunately, the bride's father has been battling cancer for the past year and is now under Hospice care. His health is dwindling and the family is unaware if he will be around to make it to her wedding next year. After hearing such news, I quickly made room in my schedule in order to accommodate this very special event. I was amazed at the strength the bride exhibited during such a rough time in her and her families lives. She shared some very special moments with her father during her dance. I could not have been more honored to help her capture these moments to hold on to forever.
