Check out this quaint recently renovated Winter Park venue- Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. We were recently invited to capture the open house designed and coordinated by Anna Christine Events who used inspiration from impressionist painters, specifically Monet and his painting “The Iris Garden at Giverny.” The venue had an earthy garden feel with a hint of old Winter Park perfect for any bride dreaming of an outdoor garden wedding ceremony.

She was inquiring about my availability for the very next day. As I kept reading, I came to find out that she was planning a very special surprise for her future sister-in-law. She further explained to me that she was planning a father/daughter dance prior to their wedding next year. Unfortunately, the bride's father has been battling cancer for the past year and is now under Hospice care. His health is dwindling and the family is unaware if he will be around to make it to her wedding next year. After hearing such news, I quickly made room in my schedule in order to accommodate this very special event. I was amazed at the strength the bride exhibited during such a rough time in her and her families lives. She shared some very special moments with her father during her dance. I could not have been more honored to help her capture these moments to hold on to forever.
So we decided to take a weekend and film a short for the My Rode Reel Short Film Competition. With the help of some friends (Jesse Griffin and Ted Skolits) and my amazing wife Casey we were able to film everything in a day. There were a lot of takes, laughing and creative ideas flowing! We were offered the great opportunity to film the 2014 Market Mixer hosted by The Knot at the Hilton Orlando. This event was composed of four different themed stations resembling spring, summer, fall, and winter, each with seasoned food and drinks to match. It was a night to remember with a full band, DJ, and full firework ensemble to keep everyone energetic. It was great to see friends and meet new ones. Megan and Justin exchanged their vows at St. Williams Catholic Church in St. Simons Island, GA followed by an extravagant reception at an exclusive and luxurious resort, the Cloister at Sea Island. Their reception featured long banquet style tables covered in candles and Megan’s favorite flowers, pink and white peonies. The exquisite details of this wedding reflected Megan’s sense of style perfectly. Megan was glowing the entire day and Justin’s adoration of her was enough to bring tears to the eyes of all their guests.
